WHO WE ARE:

 

We are Jillian Leavey trading as Singing Fiddles based in Glasgow. We use your data to process your lessons with us and to reply to your enquiries. Your data privacy is important to us. We don’t share it with third parties. We don't do any data mining or devious manipulation of your data, we leave this to the unscrupulous large corporations online who seem to be above the law and know what you had for breakfast.

 

TYPES OF DATA WE COLLECT:

 

When you pay for a lesson via PayPal they will send us notification of your payment but no credit or debit card details. These external services will have their own privacy statement. We record your name and address, email and phone number in order that we can arrange a time for lessons, and for our own safety and security. These records are kept in a locked place and once all your lessons are complete, they are destroyed.

 

We do not use your data for marketing or other sales purposes. You can ask to have all data related to you disclosed to you or deleted at any time, subject to legal restrictions.

 

USING YOUR DATA:

 

Your information will only be used in connection with your lessons to:

 

Arrange your lesson times

Obtain payments for our services through PayPal

Respond to your questions by phone or e-mail.

 

WHEN WE COLLECT DATA:

 

We may collect data from you when you:

 

Fill in forms on our website or place an order.

Give information to us in an email, phone call, letter or in person.

 

THE DATA WE COLLECT IS:

 

The name and address and phone number of the person paying for the lessons.

Your email address so that we can contact you about your lessons.

Payment details are handled by PayPal, we do not receive any card details.

Musical experience and grades.

Any allergies or medical requirements in order to ensure your health and safety.

 

COOKIES AND GOOGLE ANALYTICS:

 

Cookies are annoying little bits of data gathered by some online companies in order to provide their services. Our website may use Session cookies to handle your website navigation, but these are not used for any other purposes. They are also anonymous. You can click on the Cookies statement at the bottom right of the Home page to see more about Cookies. You can also switch these off completely in your Browser.

 

If you have your website browser set to accept cookies then that implies that you consent to our cookie policy shown. If you do not disable cookies in your browser then you have the option to leave the website.

 

When someone visits our website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
